歩いて楽しい木のまちなみをつくる

東日本大震災で甚大な被害を受けた矢吹町。我々は震災後から四年間地域の方々や専門家と恊働し、「復興まちづくりプラン」を町に提案しました。内陸被災地だから可能な、中心市街地をまちなか居住の場とする計画です。これは新しい復興計画のベースとなりました。第一区自治会館は「歩いて楽しいまち」を実現する、新たな復興計画のモデルとなる建築です。対面する復興公営住宅と外装の色と素材を合わせ、一帯を新しい木造の景観を一体的に形成する「景観モデル地区」と位置づけています。

居場所としてのまちキッチン

建物の中心には「まちキッチン」を設置。普段時は住民のたまり場として、災害時は炊出場として機能します。

木とスチールによる軽やかなハイブリッド構造

シェルペンスキーのフラクタル三角形に着想を得て、ユニットの組立てを繰り返すことで1辺10mの大屋根を架けられるシェルペンスキー・トラスを開発。垂直荷重に対し圧縮のかかる斜材に木材を、引張のかかる底辺材にスチールを使うことで、部材断面を抑えました。上り梁の断面が大きくなり頂部の納まりが面倒になる通常と異なり、方形屋根の頂部は各ユニット頂部と同様の簡易な納まりとなっています。

 

Rehabilitating townscape by enhancing walking experience

After the Great East Japan Earthquake 2011, which has seriously damaged Yabuki City, we proposed “Master Plan for the post-quake regeneration”, whereby the city center will be prioritized for residential use. YABUKI PUBLIC CENTER is the model symbolizing the new master plan which aspires to the walkable city.

Preparedness ： COMMUNITY KITCHEN as the core of activity

COMMUNITY KITCHEN for the occasional gatherings or festivals offers food serivces in the emergency case.

Sierpinski Truss System： Light hybrid wood-steel structure

Sierpinski Truss makes it possible to form a 10mx10m self-supported roof with the pyramid-shaped units of the small section timber struts and steel frames.
